Actually, it is logically impossible to prove the negative, that no one will quit. The burden of proof lies upon the one making the assertion to the positive, which is you.
Your claim, your burden of proof.

Good riddance!! So quit already, Quitter! If you quit the game then you'll quit whining in the forums, which is my real goal!
I think anybody who doesn't log on in 6 month's time should earn an in game "Quitter" title and be logged in periodically by Anet to stand around in town in shackles for the explicit purpose of being riddiculed by other players. Then we could get favor from people that don't even play anymore!
Here's the title track:
6 months = "Slacker"
7 months = "Can't take the heat"
8 months = "Wimp"
9 months = "Chickened out"
10 months = "Mommy said I can't play anymore"
11 months = "Quitter"
12 months = "Quitter of Epic Proportions"
If you come back to the game after that hiatus then you can wear the title with pride! It should default so that any time you haven't selected a different title, it displays this one.

Jkyarr...It's just a game...If people want to quit, they shoulden't be punished for doing so. It's a free country....
BTW, Msecorsky, I love how you all are saying that kind of stuff, yet you all know that some people will quit over this.

I can't imagine anyone actually being small enough to really quit over this. Anyone that actually did... I'd have to question their state of mental health. The thought that anyone would seems ridiculous.

A lot of people give up on GW before giving it a chance...And people who's lifes revolved around a certain build, farming method, or more, quit when they were finnaly getting onto it and/or kinda new to GW, and gave up on it.

/notsigned. I am not saying the new system is the shizzle, but the old system sucked the crap.
to the question about why we should rely on others to get territory control. Aint it a mechanic to get the community together? Like "we are from. europe. we gotta stick together and get favor". A sense of comradary(sp?) and nationality within the worlds canvas and mythology?

This new system actually makes sense, unlike how PvP governs elite PvE zones. Which didn't make sense.

This system does NOT make sense actually. with the way its designed they might as well just take the favor system away all together. Since this has been in effect We have had constant favor. I have not seen one time where we didnt.
For those who are talking about nothing to do in ToA. type /favor you will see it says we have favor more times than not. Like I said I havent seen one time without favor.
This is going to drive the price of ecto so far down the crapper which really sucks.

Agreed, this will also screw up the economy more. Ectos and shard prices will start declining rapidly most possibly.
And what happens when people stop grinding titles? Less time...less favor...

although I dont like this new system now EVERY region gains access to FoW/UW if you read the description of the change it says WORLD favor meaning everyone.
The reson I dislike this change is because people have too MUCH access now and its going to kill ecto prices even more than they are.

Nothing saying ANet won't be tweaking it at all. And also, who says ANet won't be able to do anything about the prices?

I actually look foward to when people stop grinding that way not everyone will get into FoW/UW and ectos will go back up.

i posted much earliet ectos would go down when the others were buying them and gloating at future profits.
Anet has been against ectos as a second currency and this will kill it nicely.
AS FOR TITLES DROPING OFF THEY WILL SIMPLY MAKE IT EASIER TO GET IN SO NO ECTO REVOLUTION

There are easy ways to go around this. For one, GW:EN is coming out soon, and will bring a mutlitude of titles. Secondly, as I've stated already, this is not set in stone, and can be tweaked until it is once again suitable.
...Yeah this is pretty much what Loviater said. One minute too late...

Dunno what you're talking about, there. This should be making it easier to get into. We have favor for 154 minutes right now.

Very good system imo, let those europeans feel the pain of not having favor.
They are GW players too, learn how to share the 'deception' of not having favor with everyone else in the world

May I add that at this moment, we almost have constant favor? There seems to be no problem at the moment, but depending on with which rate people max out titles, there could be problems.
I don't think there is a constant line of people maxing out titles. I think it's all random, and 1 day, alot of people might max out their title, and the other day, nobody might...
That is not the real problem I meant. The problem that comes to mind now is 'when will we run out of easy-maxable titles?'
If A-Net did alot of watching over the amount of titles maxed out per day, all these titles are already maxed, so they don't count towards the favor. We 'missed out' on alot of favor, or so to say, in this situation.
If A-Net didn't watch alot over the amount of titles maxed, they don't actually have an idea on what they're doing, and we might be in for some nasty surprises, too, like too few people actually title-hunting.
Either way, the situation can be bad. Alot of people go for the cheaper titles to max out, as cash is already a problem in the game. SS/LB titles come to mind, as they also come with an advantage in the actual game. These titles, however, can easily be obtained, and I think the major part of the people going for these titles, already obtained them.
Another problem is: What if GW2 comes out? I suppose the majority of the GW1 population goes to GW2, and stops maxing out titles on GW1. The people that keep playing GW1 only have limited titles, IF they are hunting for these. Of course, you can think now 'They'll think of a different solution', but that 'different solution' might be better for all of us at this moment, too.
The point I'm trying to make is: This favor system is better than before, but it still has flaws. I see this system as a 'middle course' between the old favor system, and the new one required after GW 2 comes out (where it would be easier to obtain favor, cause of the smaller amount of people playing, less global achievements have to be made).

everyone gets more access, yay!
ecto prices are borked anyway so no worries on that.
and best of all it starts a separation of pvp and pve.
if we could just get rid of that silly hoh chest it'd be perfect.
